Our Story

Lake Breeze is one of Australia’s most awarded boutique wineries, including being named Australia’s Champion Small Winery.

The Follett family have been grape growers in Langhorne Creek for over 120 years and winemakers for 29 years and have rapidly built an enviable reputation for consistently producing outstanding wines.

The Follett family vineyard was established in the 1880's by Arthur John Follett, the great grandfather of Greg Follett, the winemaker. The varieties grown on the vineyard include cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and chardonnay, with small blocks of grenache, merlot, petit verdot and white frontignac.

Only the best 40% of fruit is selected from the older vines on the property, to create wines with amazing depth of flavour. These wines include the highly acclaimed 'Bernoota' [Shiraz/Cabernet], Cabernet Sauvignon, Arthur's Reserve and Winemaker's Selection Shiraz labels.

Lake Breeze has enjoyed enormous success over the past 29 years, accumulating an extraordinary 62 trophies and over 180 gold medals at major Australian wine shows.  Lake Breeze has been awarded the Champion Wine of Langhorne Creek on four occasions and more recently a trophy at the Adelaide Wine Show for the Arthur's Reserve blend.

Renovations to cellar door, the new upstairs function room and deck, take advantage of the stunning views across the vineyard from one of the best vantage points in the district.  A great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and a regional platter.

Lake Breeze can now offer visitors to the region an extensive Langhorne Creek experience with cellar door tastings, lunch menu and The Creek Cottage bed + breakfast.
